Bio-hazard safety cabinets are biocontainment equipment which is used in biological laboratories to provide personnel, environmental, and product protection. It is the most important engineering controls and used to prevent exposure to contamination by biohazardous agents.
Bio-hazard Cabinet are equipped with germicidal UV-C lamps with wavelength of 254 nanometer which radiate ultra violet rays to decontaminate the interior surface.
We provide the bio-hazard safety cabinets in anti-microbial epoxy coated in Galvanized Iron construction and in IS304 SS construction.

Principle and Function
1. The primary purpose is to prevent the escape of aerosols containing dangerous or unknown biological particles during experimental operations.
2. The cabinet maintains a negative pressure state by sucking air inward. This helps protect the operator, environment and the product.
3. The outside air is filtered through a HEPA filter before entering the cabinet, preventing contamination of processed samples. The filtered air is also discharged into the atmosphere to protect the environment.

Class II Type A2 Bio-Hazard Safety Cabinet
Class II A2 Biohazard Safety Cabinets provides protection to personnel, product and environment. In Class II A2 Cabinets, 70% of the air is re-circulated within the cabinet through high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration and remaining 30% air is discharged out. Velocity of airflow to the work zone creates an ultra-clean environment for product protection.
Recommended to use with mild to low level hazardous material. Installation of exhaust duct is not mandatory since it is not recommended to use with hazardous pathogens.

Class II Type B2 Bio-Hazard Safety Cabinet
Class II Type B2 Biohazard Safety Cabinets provides protection to personnel, product and environment. These cabinets are referred to as “total exhaust” cabinets since the complete 100% contaminated air is exhausted to the outer atmosphere through the HEPA filters without re-circulating inside the cabinet.
HEPA-filtered Vertical laminar airflow, which is discharged to the work zone, creates an ultra-clean work environment for product protection.
Recommended to use with low to medium hazardous non-aerosol pathogens. Exhaust duct is mandatory for this cabinet. Installation of virus burn-out is recommended for greater safety of the environment.

Class III Bio-Hazard Safety Cabinet
Class III Bio-hazard safety Cabinets are referred to as a totally enclosed ventilated unit of airtight construction. Operators work through glove ports in the front of the cabinet. These gloves are attached to the system and allow safe handling of materials inside the cabinet. The cabinet maintains negative pressure relative to the ambient environment. If containment is compromised, this negative pressure prevents contaminants from escaping.
Supply air is drawn into the cabinet through HEPA filters. Exhaust air is ULPA-filtered and incinerated. This type of cabinet system provides the means to control air borne particulates contaminants including micro – organisms determined to be potentially harmful to the personnel the product and the environment.
Recommended to use with highly contagious micro-organisms such as SARS, Flu, Rabies, HIV, H1N1, cancer drug mixing and other infectious aerosol, etc.
